Usually I can fix anything that goes wrong with my computer but this time...I
just don't know.  I have not had SOME sound for about a week or so...last
night, I restarted my computer and on the start up, it says Windows
XP...never goes to the desktop...you have to turn computer off by holding
down the button...comes back on in safe mode...what do I do now?  I have run
Virus Scan, Defragmenter, Disk Cleanup...what now?  Still doing the same
thing...any help is greatly appreciated!..Thanks!

When it is booted in Safe Mode.  Go here:
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
Pick a restore point to before the problem started, you can go back
up to 90 days.  Once restored, reboot and it should boot normally.

Some days you're the windshield,
