I am trying to set up a network using the workgroup name (just between 2
computers)but for some reason the laptop I am trying to network just
does not seem to connect - I do the wizard on each computer - I see it
on my computer but I can not see it on the laptop - any insight?

Is your firewall configured to allow networking? Have you turning on file
sharing, and then shared something?
