iexpore.exe application error

I often get this message when closing a page. iexplore.exe application error.
The instruction at "0x047b454d" referenced memory at "0x047b454d" the memory
could not be read. Click OK to teminate program. While the message is still
on the screen I have hit ctrl, Shift and Esc but tthe message remains. I have
also run Symantec Client Server, Ad-aware and Spybot with no result. Any help
to fix this problem would be appreciated.

Start with the normal troubleshooting for malware:
