Can Not Save Files!

I have recently installed Win. XP Pro. For some reason I ca not save any
files..Excel, word, Internet images etc. When i click on Save As or right
click and pick save or save as nothing happens and the machine just sits on
that mode waiting for ???. I usually have to end the task and start
over...any help??

You haven't given us enough information so you can get focused
troubleshooting. Post back with your computer specs, the malware status
of the machine, and how you installed XP (upgrade or clean). Also tell
us if the Save function ever worked and if so, what changed between the
time it did and the time it didn't.
