I'm the administrator of our home computer. We have 4 desktops, including
mine. when I download or install something the icon goes on my desktop but
also ends up on everyone else's. I try to delete or move them from each
desktop but it won't let me. It says access denied.
How can I move the icons to one unused icon folder, or, delete them from
other users desktops?
Thanks!

Move the icons from this folder
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop
into your desktop folder which should be here
C:\Documents and Settings\YOURACCOUNT\Desktop
Good luck

Many apps, not all, will present a choice for use by all users or only
the profile doing the install. If you don;t want others using the app
select the choice for only this profile (or whatever wording they use.)
If you can't move them the way suggested in the other response, try
booting to Safe Mode and moving them.
