_____
First, ask yourself if you really need to do this.
IF the answer is 'yes'
THEN
Use shorter names (right click on the offending Icon, click on 'Rename',
enter a shorter name.)
OR
change the icon spacing:
right click on the desktop
click on 'Properties'
click on the 'Appearance' Tab in the Display Properties sheet
click on the 'Advanced' button
in the 'Item' drop down menu
SELECT
'Icon Spacing (Horizontal)' and change the 'Size'
OR
'Icon Spacing (Vertical)' and change the 'Size'.

"Really need"? No. "Want, and figure I should be able to
do better than truncating half the names the system _came_
_with_"? Yes.

Thanks for the help. I'll play with both ways a little.
