does anyone know where i can get a copy of the windows close icon? (the box
with the x in the upper right of any window)
when i try to copy the icon it closes the window.
help... thanks

No you can't do that. It should appear automatically. You'll have to explain
more thoroughly what your problem is and what you are trying to do. Perhaps
the window is partially off your screen. Change your display settings--window
size, resolution etc. and see if that helps.

Create your icon using ms paint.

i have done that but... not knowing the actual pixel size of the ms icon i have
not been able to create one that looks the same when the screen is a different
size.

Do you want the *actual image* of the 'x'/red box icon (or the grey
box/black x in classic mode). Simply do a PrintScr of the window, paste
into an image editor and crop the image.
