Unable to Log On

When I double click on the Butterfly to log on I recieve a message
C:Programs Files\MSN\MSNCorefiles\msn.exe
I talked with someone in MSN/Verizon and they had me to do the following
http:\\autoupdate.msn.com\fix.asp  and it did not work recieved an error
message
Error: 1723 problem with Windows Installer. Need a DLL to continue.  What
shall I do to resolve this problem so I can get back to my daily routine and
check all my email messages and work on my business.  Please help   thank you

Is that the exact error ... or did you abbreviate it AND drop some '\'
characters?

C:Programs Files\MSN\MSNCorefiles\msn.exe

That's all that appears nothing before or after.  Nothing telling file not
found or something?
