When I open "My Music" folder, or any folder within the drive, the folder
view is correct.
However, one program, VLC Media Player, opens "My Music" folder with
the  "My Recent Documants", "Desktop", etc, on the left side of the
window.
How can I get rid of the left side view or is this a VLC problem ?
TIA

I know nothing about VLC or what it may put on the computer.  I smoke-tested
this idea;  open folder using VLC.  Next, go to View > Explorer Bar.  In
list that gets, are there any references to Recent Docs, Desktop, etc. ?  If
so, are they checkmarked ?   Click on any checked items unwanted;  this
should remove list on left until re-marked.

Evidently, this must be a VLC problem and I'm simply going to accept it.  Thanks
for your response.
