i have some important documents that i had hidden on my comp. The
problem now, is that while connecting a portable hard drive a sort of
maleware came into my comp. I can't unhide the hidden folders.

Everytime i go to TOOLS>FOLDER OPTIONS>VIEW(2ND TAB) and select the
option "show hidden folders" i click on "APPLY" & then "OK" .

but if i follow the same route TOOLS>FOLDER OPTIONS>VIEW(2ND TAB) .
the changes i had made revert to the way they were. as in even if i
select show hidden folders it goes back to DO NOT show hidden folders.

I need those documents that i've hidden & i need it for a
presentation. can someone please help fast??!?!!

Hello,

Try the registry fix here
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
(line 155, left column)

It may work only temporarily, if you find a permanent solution, feel free to
pot back.

If all else fails, amd if you know where the folder is located you can
go to a dos prompt and type this command attrib - h "NAME OF FOLDER" .
example attrib -h c:\test . To see if that works. There could be a
registry entry also that occurred, and if you find it and delete it,
but that is dangerouse if you don't know what you are doing and I
would suggest to export it first to back it up before doing anything.
If this problem occurred just in the past couple of days then you can
try system restore this reverts the registry back to a particuler
date. Then run your anti virus and anti malware app to clear any apps
that may be there.  As always always make a backup.

I am working with tables in a Word Document, and I want to connect two tables
that ended up on the same page, but when I drag one up to the other, it
merges the contents and distorts the table.  How can I connect the tables?????

Does anyone know???????????
