I have a user who is currently in another country.  She is locked out of her
system and she cannot gain access to system unless the password is reset.   I
have reset her XP password but, the problem still exist with the continuous
lock outs every morning.  She has tried logging out at night but the password
still requires reset in the monring.  Any ideas would be brilliant.  Thanks

Try this. Right-click on My Computer, select "Manage".
Expand Local users and Groups in the left hand pane.
Click on Users. In the right-hand pane, double click on the User in
question. On the General Tab, make sure the box "Password never expires" is
checked.

Thanks, but I should have said it is when the user is on the network, not
locally

Not an expert on server software but there's a similar function in the User
account properties on the domain server.....

Perhaps your question would be better answered in the networking newsgroup
where you would have more access to a larger number of network guru's than
you might have in a basics newsgroup.

news://news.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web should get
you there
