Perhaps a daft question, but is there a tick box at the bottom left of the
dialog box you refer to, offering "Always ask before opening this file"? If
so, click the tick (check) next to it to remove it.
Failing that, locate the file in Windows Explorer; right-click it,
left-click Properties in the drop-down menu. Is there a heading "Security"
at the bottom of the "General" tab, with a button next to it saying
"Unblock"? If so, try that.
Failing *that*, check out this site, it may help:

With a quick Google, I also saw a reg hack and a Group Policy entry which
you may like to follow up on.

Hi Olórin,
Unfortunately your first 2 ideas did not work.
There is no tick box in the dialog and also no heading "Security" at the
bottom of the "General" tab.
We do not use MS shares, but have a novell network.
I'll try Google and let this group know if I figure it out.
Thanks for the help.
Peter-Paul
