I apologise in advance for posting a question that is a bit off topic
to Windows XP, but you folks are SO knowledgable and helpful that I
really didn't know which forum would be better to pose this question
in:
Does anyone know of a hardware application which would let me write on
a pad beside my computer and whatever I wrote on that pad would appear
on my computer screen? A kind of notepad that would instantly appear
on the screen?
I thank you in advance for your attention to this question...

Yes, and, of all the multi-thousand items of PC hardware available,
Wacom tablets are the only products that consistently rate 100% in
user reviews.
