Well, I took your advice and just reformated my HD partition in NTFS.  Now I
am getting an error when I try to install my Win-XP Pro CD stating that NTLDR
NT Loader is missing?  I actually did back up most of my data files but I
would like to get on with this, what to do about the NTLDR error?

Thanks In Advance

I had a similar problem and found the solution on another site.
Get your original Win-XP Pro CD.
Put it in your CD drive, and reboot.
Let it start to install.
When you see the screen that ask if you want to "Install" or "Restore"  press
"R" .
Once you get the Restore screen, copy "i386\NTLDR" from the CD to your root
directory.
Exit and reboot
This should fix the problem.
