When using My Computer to look at what files etc are in various directories,
how can one change the default number of characters displayed on the left
side? It currently defaults to 18 or 19 or 20 characters, and one may set it
using the scroll bar at the top, but surely this is a settible option.  I
believe that all windows progtams which shoe the files and directories share
this setting. I'd like to have it default to 25 characters when the window
opens.
Thanks!

Give more details of your system. What viewing mode are you using with
My Computer? How many Explorer bars are open? Is the view Classic or new
and/or customized?
