My son manually changed the font size to 199 under Control Panel desktop
themes.  Now when we try to access contrl panel (or anything else) just a big
red screen appears so we are unable to change the font size back to normal.
Does anyone know how we can change the font size by just using the keyboard
buttons.

Try booting in Safe Mode. Not sure if that will get you back to normal
regards fonts but if it does, then you can make corrections.
