Change Default Folder for ALL folders?

I'm using XPSP2.  I'd like to change the default yellow folder to a
default blue folder on one system, and default to other colors on
other systems.  It would help me to know which is which when I'm
collecting my documents and organizing them.

I'm afraid to mess with shell32.exe -- if I edit it, will it still
work?

Also, the My Documents folder won't show the icon in shell32.  Even
using a customization won't make it stick.  The MyMusic & MyPictures
icons seem to work fine.  Any hints on how to add the MyDocuments
folder icon?

Thanks.

I know of two possible shell extensions that could do this: Customize
Folders by CloneSoft (http://www.clonesoft.com/ )and AnyFolders by Artem
Lin. (My 1998 registration lists the following:
HTTP://oop.rosweb.ru/users/a/artem/index.html but I have no idea if it is
still valid.)

I used to use Customize Folders, but it won't reset a default icon for
all folders; it's a one-folder-at-a-time tweak.  I went to Artem's
site but his AnyFolders seems to be lost in the ethernet.  Thanks for
the suggestions, anyway.

I tried to send you a copy of AnyFolder - but your e-mail address is
invalid.  Send me a message directly and I'll try again.

M'Lady,

Take look at this one:

I hardly found your link -- it was way at the bottom.  But I did download it
and will try is.  PS:  Why does the link go to http://joost.endoria.net, but
the status bar says downloading from www.student.tue.nl?

Better yet -- why not upload it to a webpage you host, send me the link, and
I'll download it.  :-)

I do not host a web page - whatever that may mean.

It's just a redirect. The download is stored at another site. Quite
common. Many websites refer to another download site, just like we do.
