OS Windows XP Pro, SP2. Unintentionally I installed the Asian Fonts on my PC
and now when I am in some of my graphic programmes choosing a font to use,
when I stand on one of these fonts it causes my pc to freeze and I have to go
out of the programme I am in. When I look at these fonts through a font
viewer I see that they have a @ sign in front of their name? I would like to
uninstall/delete these fonts but haven't found a way to do so since they
don't appear in the Windows Font file. Can anybody help me here, it's driving
me crazy? I have asked this question in another forum but haven't received a
reply that solved the problem. Thanks so much.

You can delete fonts with this.  It's a cool viewer and it's free.

Thank you for your reply Wally. However, I have already tried this utility,
but all I get under "Installed Fonts" is a warning "Unsupported or unknown
font type" and the font can't be deleted! Perhaps something can be done in
the Registry to get rid of these fonts? Any ideas most welcome! Thanks again.

Have you tried through the Regional and Language Options?

Go to Control Panel >>> Regional and Language Options (double click to open)
>>> Languages (click on center tab)
Make sure "Install files for East Asian languages" is not checked
Make sure "Install files for complex scripts and right-to-left languages
(including Thai) is not checked

Now click "Details," and make sure the only installed service is the US
keyboard (there is a "remove" option if you see anything additional that you
don't want)

Probably a good idea to reboot the system after these actions, just for good
measure.

Maybe if you clear these language options, you will be able to delete the
stubborn fonts.
