G'day,
I've recently installed a video player (XingMPEG Player) and some files
which I downloaded from Kelly's website with .vbs extensions were
automatically being associated to the video player software. Apart from
that, my .mpeg movies could not display in Thumbnail view. How can I restore
.vbs extension files back to original ? and How do I get back the movies
thumbnails ? Thanx in advance.

Regards

For VBS files, see www.dougknox.com, Win XP Fixes, File Assocation Fixes,
VBS File Association Fix.

For MPEG thumbnails, go to Start, Run and enter REGEDIT   Go to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mpg\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}

Make sure the default value is:  {c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590}

If not, double click the Default value and change it.   Additionally, you
can find REG files to restore the default MPG/MPEG associations on my site,
as well.
