When I click an icon to start a program, then later close the program the icon name has always remained highlighted until I use another icon. For the past few days this no longer happens. I have several solitaire games and could tell which one I played last if I ended one and left the computer for awhile and came back. The so-called system caret shows the current position of the cursor on the screen. It manifests in different ways; one of the ways is by highlighting an icon, which is what you see. It's hard to predict with assurance where the caret will be. You've had a run of good luck, where the caret has ended up in a convenient place for you, but there's no way to guarantee it will always be there. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est > Not a problem.
