I resently updated to windows xp from windows 98.  When I
did that the d:\ drive stoped working.  I bought a new one
and this one too is not working.  It's not even showing up
on "my computer".  No disk came with the cd-rom drive, how
do i get it working???  If you can help me, i would really
appriciate it.  thanks

Is D: a CD drive?  Check its cabling, jumper settings, and whether it
appears in the BIOS IDE listings.  If it's not detected there, chances are
very slim that XP will find it.
