I have a Toshiba labtop. When I'm typing I trag my fingers
accross the mouse pad causing the mouse position to move
while typing documents. This is very frustrating.

How can I turn off the mouse pad on my laptop. The OS is
Windows XP, any help would be apppriciated

Many laptops have a setup menu where you can disable the mousepad. On my
VAIO it is on the Programs menu, as Sony Setup. Look for something similar
on your Toshiba.
