Ok first, I know that windows xp allows you to display a
webpage as a background of sorts. I've tried to create a
webPage to display a simple animated .GIF and while the
rest of the webpage displays normally the animation won't.
I was woundering if there is a registry tweak, windows
setting or someother means to acheive this task? Can I use
someother graphic type "AVI or perhaps a Java Applet?".
Thanks for any help.

It might require Flash on your system to do the animate.
See hallmark.com for their monthly desktop background
which includes clock/calendar and animation and sound.
Oct one was great - Nov is not - Dec should be better.
