How do you change you icons to be transparent on the desktop so that they do not distort your desktop wallpaper?

Hi,

Right click your My Computer, and then go to Properties.
Then click on the Advanced tab, and then click on the Performance settings
button.

Now make sure the checkmark box "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the
desktop" has a check mark.
