Hi. I've been playing BF2 fine for 9 months but this morning I ran Windows
Update and it install ed the WGA Notification and now BF2 doesn't work. I
double click the icon and nothing happens. The CD doesn't spin up or
anything. The mouse is an hourglass for maybe 1 seond and then it becomes a
pointer again.

I played BF2 fine last night and the only change made was the Windows
Update. After discovering the problem I tried using the System Restore but
that failed when attempting to go back 1 and then 2 days. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Hi Anonononomous,

Go to your Add-Remove programs list and select to unintall that update
after you've identified the number of the update itself by visiting the
Windows Update Site.  After you confirm your game is working, setup
a restore point, and go ahead and install the update again with your
Antivirus software disabled to prevent a corrupt installation again.

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling BF2?
