Hi bella,

Please provide more detail if possible about the following:

1.  What additional info are you downloading?
2.  How are you initiating the download?
3.  Where are you downloading from?
4.  What error message are you encountering?

Thanks.  :-)

Hi bella,

Yes, your firewall installation may have become corrupt.
Turn on your Windows firewall, uninstall your existing firewall,
and then try to download those applications / updates again.

Some agressive Antivirus software can block you as well.

Hi bella,

It sounds like the game didn't uninstall completely from Add-Remove programs.

Here's how to uninstall a game when using Add-Remove programs fails:

Step A:   Start your computer in Safe Mode by holding down the F8 key.

Step B:   Reinstall the game to the same folder it was installed to originally,
and then try to uninstall it again using Add-Remove programs. If
that fails, delete it's folder and any save games in My Documents.

Step C:   Install and Run Regcleaner and if it finds any stray registry keys for the
              game, delete them: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download460.html

Hi thunderspike,

They could be in My Documents\My Games
Also, you could have references to your username in the registry.
Use the RegCleaner solution referenced in my previous post. ;-)
