OK.  My sound card has stopped working.  In Sound and
Audio Devices, it recognizes that it is there, however it
says (under audio device): "No audio device."  I have
attmepted troubleshooting a million times, drivers, etc.
Finally, I gave in and purchased another sound card.
Same problem.  What's going on please???

>Uhh, yeah, in fact I mention it up above.  I'm not an
idiot--I built a 2.6 ghz system.  But thank you anyway.

Try removing the card in device manager and rebooting.
