problem started when i reformatted my primary hard drive
which was previously installed with windows xp pro, and
installed windows xp home instead.
i have 2 hard drives in my desktop, but the second hard
drive does not appear in "my computer". however,
under "device manager", the drive does appear and when i
click on properties, it says that the device is working
properly.
any ideas?

Go to Control Panel>AdminTools>Computer Manage>Disk Manage   See if it
shows up there. If yes, then assign it
   a driver letter.
