AMD Athlon Xp 2000+ (1.67) cpu VS P4 1.4GHZ cpu

In two of these CPUs, which one is more powerful than the other?

Im buying in one of these two so i need to know which one will run the
windows better, more reliable, and safe.

The XP2000.

Hopefully the motherboard that the person gets isn't problematic..

The AMD is definitely better, but if paired up with a not so good
motherboard, you might see issues (but that's a given no matter what cpu you
get).

Both will be reliable and safe, but these features are more likely to be
problomatic as a result of other hw/software you install
