I need to be able to use a new IDE hard drive in a new computer that doesn't have an extra IDE connector on the MB (only has one and it's being used for two dvd drives). Do you think this product will work well?

             b.. Serial ATA 1.0 compliant
c.. Supports ATA 33/66/100/133 hard drives
d.. Supports large capacity hard drives
e.. Simple Plug and Play Installation
f.. Compatible with any Serial ATA controller

Connect an IDE hard drive to your Serial ATA SATA controller with the Serial ATA to IDE adapter.  Compatible with most SATA controllers and IDE 33/66/100/133 drives, this adapter lets you connect your older IDE drives to your new SATA interface.  With simple Plug and Play installation, you'll be using your IDE hard drive or ATAPI device in no time.

           Includes:

             a.. SATA to IDE Converter
             b.. 18" SATA Cable
             c.. 18" Power Splitter Cable, M/F LP4 connectors and 4-pin SP4 connector
             d.. User's Manual

My thanks for your assistance.

Mary, that would probably work ok, but take a look at this. It's cheaper
and you could connect at least two hard drives.
