COULD UNPLUGGING MY SCANNER HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MY CD DRIVE SUDDENLY
DISAPPEARING?  NOT EVEN FOUND IN MY DEVICE MANAGER.  ERROR REPORT STATES
"DISAPPEARED WITHOUT PROPER PREPARATION FOR REMOVAL".
ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Please do not only post is capitol letters!  This is considered to be
"SHOUTING" and can be confusing!

We need more Details!  Is your CD drive an internal model (inside the "big"
computer case) or external (connects with a cable?)
