All of a sudden my DVD-CDR drive will not recognize a disc!

Hi,

It used to play DVDs and CDs flawlessly up until today.  I don't
recall installing any software that would affect it.  And, I don't
know what company makes it. I think it's a generic one.  Can't
determine who makes it.  It is using a Windows driver.

Any ideas?
