My file servers is using a ASUS motherborad which has a built-in RAID
controller.  I have installed 4 SATA hardisks and run a RAID 0+1 disk array.
Few days ago, the motherborad has problem, the system is hanged during the
windows start-up screen.

1) Is it possible to move these 4 HDs to another motherborad which has a
built-in RAID function, and read all data from the disk array properly?

2) My broken motherboard is old version.   I cannot find the same
motherboard.  Is it possible to read this RAID disk on other motherboard
with built-in RAID controller

3) Can I use another brand RAID controller?

Please advise.

Another question I want to know.  If 2 disks is running on RAID 1, is it
possible to take out one HD and run as normal disk without RAID?

Which Asus board etc.
Can you still enter the Bios setup screen?
Can you start from a floppy, ATA disk, CD ???
1. You might if the RAID is the same brand, start the computer from
something else.
The Promise RAID disks from my Asus A7V133 can even be used connected to
a separate Promise PCI RAID card that has the same BIOS.
2. See above, depends on the brand of RAID.
3. You most probably will get problems.
On your very last question, my experience is YES.
P.S. I don't have any experience with SATA RAID

Multi posting is most unhelpful

You can move the RAID arrays to another MB but you wont have access
to use them in xp,xp would need to be reinstalled to one of the RAID
configurations...A repair wont work, format and reinstall the set....Have you
located the original problem,i'd try booting to xp cd,recovery, select 1 for
C:
press enter for password, type:CHKDSK C: /R  When its thru type:EXIT  Let
xp start,remove cd.
