Hi,

I posted this in comp.os.ms-windows.misc but got redirected here.

I am using a new chassi for my computer. On the front I have connections
for usb2.0.
Then when I looked at the motherboard I find two types of usb 2.0
headers ( both 9-pin). They are called usb6_7 and usb4_5. which one
shall I use?

cheers,

You can use either, they are identical, just make sure the correct ones are
enabled in BIOS or enable them all.
Be careful matching up the front USB cables to the headers, incorrect
connection will stop it working or may even cause damage.
Check your motherboard manual for the header pinouts.

Windows XP doesn't care. If you want to "know" if there is a difference,
ask the motherboard tech support people.
