Hi, I bought a 52X 700MB/80min CD-R. But, The recording speed of my DVD
Recorder for CD-R is 40X. Can I use it for recording? I can not buy anothe
one with the parametre of 40X, but 52X and 48X. Or should I buy 48X instead
for the compatibility? Thanks.

Yes. The burning application should be capable of limiting
the burn speed to that usable by the CD-R.

Further clarification on what Mistoffolees said, you can use
a "faster" CD in a slower CD drive without telling the
software or CD drive anything but you can't use a slower CD
in a faster CD drive without telling the software to slow
down the faster CD drive.

You are OK since your machine (40X) is slower than the CD
(52X.)
