Hi, Can anyone help me...please.
I have/my dad has a aspire tower computer with Xp installed, he has
decided that he would like to add another Hard Drive as a slave to the
one he has which is 40gb, The one he would like to add is 120gb (as a
slave) it is a MAXTOR hard drive. The problem is he has connected the
hard drive up as stated in the instructions he was given, The problem
being that it is not recognised by the computer (or i think not all the
120gb's are showing), please could anyone tell me what to do (Nicely of
course), Many thanks in advance

Assuming that the drive jumpers are set correctly, right click on 'My
Computer', select 'manage' and navigate to 'Disk Management'..

There, you should see the 40gb drive and the slave.. right click on the gray
box directly in front of the new drive, and select 'initialize

This having been done, you can now partition and format the new drive from
the same window..
