Hi, The display on my monitor isnt working but the monitor itself is as have tired it on another PC. The manual that came with the PC said it could be the VGA card and have replaced it with a brand new one and the monitor still doesn display anything. The specifications for the PC are: Windows XP service pack 2 Intel Pentium 4 processor 128Mb DDR RAM GeForce FX 5200 8x AGP VGA card Has anyone got any ideas as to what could be wrong?! Thanks Dere -- derek15 It could be an unsupported adapter setting. Have you tried to boot in VGA mode, i.e. restart, F8 like you're going into safe mode, but select VGA mode instead. Also tried pressing F8 but because nothing will display on the monitor nothing happens! Any other suggestions? The keyboard isn't working either! The lights on the keyboard don't come on when the computer is switched on. Two keyboards have been tried but they both wont work. The power button light on the PC comes on and it seems as though it is starting to load everything up but it doesnt. Signaturederek15 You might try,"if it is a usb keyboard", enabling legacy usb keyboard support in the bios or use a ps2 keyboard. > The keyboard isn't working either! Does the monitor power lite come on green then go back to amber..? You also need to get some ram, 512 min, you will love the performance increase. > The keyboard isn't working either! The light does go green then amber, but it displays a blank black screen. I cant access any bios information due to the lack of display! Derek, I just had a similar problem working on a client's comp. This solved my problem, temporarily: Unscrew the hold-in brace where the video card bolts into pci/agp slot. Then insert the vid. card "straight", with no edges of vc showing above its slot--or at least all evenly showing. This slight tilt in our card made the video show up. HTH, and good luck. s Tried pressing F8 but nothing happens, also tried what you suggested with the graphics card but that doesnt work either. There are no bent pins anywhere.
