CD Player and Burner don't work

When I tried reinstalling them I got a message saying that the driver is
either missing or corrupted , code 39. I can't find anything in the language
of the glossary describing code 39. can anyone help.??

CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive appears to be missing after you install

Thanks for the tip Bob; I'm going to get right to the reading. It's
comprehensive and will certainly take me some time to read it understand it
and put it into practice. I'll get back to you within a week with the
results. Thx again. The source is a big help.

This will clear the filters if you don't want to do it manually..
