Recently I installed a 7 in Card Reader, but XP sees it as a Floppy Drive.
The Card Reader didn't come with any instructions or drivers. Also the Card
Reader is unable to read SD, CompactFlash, Memory Stick etc.

Has anybody run across this problem before or have an idea on how to fix it?

Try replacing it with a working unit from a company that has tech support.
