I currently have a 3 year old P4 running WinXP sp2 with all updates.  I am
building a new high end computer to replace this one and I wantto continue to
run XP.  I would like to know if it is better to do a fresh install of the OS
and all apps (big pain), or it is just as good to ghost the drives using a
program like Norton Ghost of Save & Restore?  Why?

Thanks,

no need to multi post
cross post if neccessary, there is a difference

XP is unlikely to work with a different hardware configuration...
so I recommend a fresh install.

If you do try a clone, however....it may work with a repair installation
