At the last stage of booting and just before signing in Messenger I get an
error message "The procedure entry_point_except_handler4_common could not be
located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll"  This is the heading in the
blue bar "CTicketmanagerWnd: msnmsgr.exe - Entry Point Not Found".  This
seems to have started since installing SP3.  Does anyone know how fix this?
After I click OK Messenger 8 open and all seems to be okay so It has
something to do with the initial opening of Messenger.  If I end Messenger
and open it from the the icon the same message appears.  Anyone's help would
be appreciated.

I do have exactly the same problem, but I didn't play around with SP3 so far.
I've looked deeply in the most occurrences found through Google, but it
seems a rather new problem. Unfortunately I cannot give you a hint on what
has been changed just before the problem occurred for the first time.
So I'm very interested in the follow up.
