Receiving messages/taskbar auto-hide problem

Hi,

I'm using WindowsXP and MSN Messenger 6.1. I keep my taskbar on the
left side of my screen, in auto-hide.

The problem is, whenever I receive an MSN-message and the
conversation-window is not in focus, the task-bar pops out, with the
programicon blinking. This is rather annoying. I've been googling and
looking through forums and addons to MSN without finding anything that
solves the problem. Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this, if
possible? I would like to get notification through sound when I get a
new message, but nothing else.

Thanks for any help,

Greetings Kristian,

Unfortunately this is just by design in Windows and there is no way (that I know of) to
change it.
