problems signing into msn

hi
well everytime i try to sign into msn i get this message=
' we were unable to sign you into .NET Messenger Service,
possibly because of a problme with the servie or with
your Internet Connection. PLease make sure you are
connected to the internet .0x81000301'

i am sure i am connected to the internet since i'm
writing this message
so what could the poroblem be? and how could i fix it?

I know i am having the EXACT same problem and it's so
annoying, i have tried altering IE and MSN messenger
settings, i have tried things with the proxy, but changed
it back after being advised to by a friend, ive
uninstalled then installed it again, ive tried to use just
Windows Messenger but I am getting the message that i cant
use it unless i update, but then i cant update it, due to
an error. What can I do, please help would be so
appreciated!!!!!!!
