I installed today windows messenger 4.7 , but it does not start. When
i try to start it, in the eventlog this message appears:

In the past i removed windows messenger (older version) with:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
%windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
Now i removed several times windows messenger and reboot, and did a
new installation, but that did not help.
OS is Windows XP Professional , servicepack 1.

Try downloading and running these .reg files:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/enablewindowsmessenger_user.reg
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/enablemessenger.reg
After this, reboot and see if you can load Windows Messenger.
