No e-mail alerts with Windows Messenger

I don't get e-mail alerts in Windows Messenger and the
number of e-mail messages in my Hotmail inbox doesn't get
updated. Messenger will show no e-mail messages, but
when I click on the link, it shows that I have the
messages. If I log out then log back in to messenger, it
shows the correct number of e-mails in my Hotmail inbox.

I have the same problem with MSN Messenger. No one knows
how to fix this. And even stranger is when i sign in with
another email i have the count stays updated and i get
the mail notifications. When i sign in on my main email
those features do not work. So I'm thinking it has to do
with my email or profile ???

If you have another email you can try see if messenger
works with that email.
