I have uninstalled windows messanger.  I have taken it off
of the start menu. Whenever I start outlook express I get
a message saying a newer version of Windows messanger is
available do I want to install.  I want to stop these
messages

Greetings Larry,

To stop this, close Outlook Express, then download and run this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/stopmessenger_oe.reg

After this, Outlook Express will no longer load Messenger and therefore you won't see this
message.
