My messenger refuse to accept me, and says that my contactlist isn´t available. I have the right password and so on... Help!

I also have this issue as well.  I have been told by
other technicians that this is a problem on the MS
Messenger server on the Microsoft site.  Looks like we
have to wait until it 'clears itself up.  However, this
did happen after upgrading to Messenger 6.1...

fwiw, i received the same message upon my first attempt this day :(
all i did was reboot and tried again; this time successfully. ymmv.

           today begin the problem, but i try for 5 hours and i can't
connect yet.

Been trying for about 5 hrs now still the same issue

Unistall 6.x version remove the regestry keys, download
and install 5.0 and it will let you login
