prevent others to see my sign on

Windows Messenger 5 on win2k

Is there on option to prevent my contacts from
being alerted when i sign on / sign off ?

After you sign in you can quickly mark your Status to "Appear Offline."
But, I think they see you pop-up for a second.

As Tom as already indicated, presently, there is no way to do this on Windows Messenger 5.
