Hello,

My messenger icon in the system tray isn't there - and
when I try to start it up (Start/Programs/Windows
Messenger) I just get the 'busy eggtimer' for a few
seconds, then nothing happens.

Please help.
Thanks

Brian.

Greetings Brian,

Download and run these .reg files in the affected account:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/enablewindowsmessenger_user.reg
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/enablemessenger.reg
After running these, reboot and then try opening Windows Messenger again.

Thanks Jonathan - that got it going.

However, when I switched off and on again it was gone
again from my system tray.  Could you tell me how to
permanently enable it and also temporarily disable it ?

Thanks for your help,
Brian.
