Hi,

I installed a Webcam onto a friend's computer so she could see her boyfriend
who's working outside the country... but that's not the point really.

So, I've also installed MSN Messenger 6.2. The camera is a Labtec Webcam and
the computer is running XP Pro with all the patches and fixes but SP2 (I'm
not totally convinced to install it yet!). Oh yes! There is no firewall and
no router.

Here's the problem. If I use the software that came with the camera,
everything works fine. I can take snap shots, record...  But if I try to make
a video conference in MSN Messenger, or if I try to set parameters for the
webcam, right after I get the little green window (actually, when I'm
supposed to get an image), the computer goes crazy ! I get the blue screen
and BAM! It reboots. Not even a second to see what's written.

Did anyone ever got that type of problem?

Asking for trouble if not using a firewall.
